the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the appointment of Ilia Darchiashvili as ambassador to the Court of St James and Georgia's permanent appointee to the International Maritime Organisation, headquartered in London. Batono Ilia served as foreign minister from 2022 to 2024 and as Georgia's ambassador to Poland from 2017 to 2021.
